7A.17 and powers of 10

I got the calculations right, but I was off by significant powers of ten. For context, this is a fifth-order reaction, and I first calculated the rate constant and then the initial rate of the 5th experiment. The textbook says the answers are my numbers EXCEPT the rate constant is times 10^-12 and the initial rate is times 10^-3.

First I thought it was a unit thing, but they use the same units, mmol???? That seems weird to me, why would they put the powers of 10 if they still kept mmol there as the units rather than just mol, which would make sense then? Is it a typo?

Hi, I haven't tried this specific problem but I do know that the book sometimes has errors. I'm pretty sure that on the bruin learn page there is a model that has a link to a page that tells which problems the textbook solutions have errors in.
