### Value of k

Is it possible for the value of k to be negative? Also, is there any direct relationship that can be seen between a change in temperature and a change in k?

We haven't learned of a relationship between temperature and k, but k is always positive.

The value of k cannot be negative because the reaction rate cannot be negative and the relationship we know is based on the concentrations and time not of k because k is constant for every reaction at a constant pressure and temperature.

K cannot be negative because K is determined by dividing the concentration of the products by the reactants, and you cannot have negative concentration. And yes, temperature will affect K of a reaction.

Yes, temperature will cause a change in k because an increase in temperature will increase the force of the collisions between molecules which gives more molecules enough energy to overcome the energy barrier and therefore speed up the rate of production of products. k can never be negative.
