I'm not sure if you are referring to 15.23 or 15.3, but here is 15.23.

In order to find the rate constant, we will use the formula ln() =kt, and solve for k.

We know the initial concentration of A, but we need to find the concentration of A at time 115s.
This final concentration would be = the initial concentration - the concentration at time 115s.

We know that at 115s, the concentration of B is 0.034. Since two moles of A is consumed to produce one mole of B, we can multiply that by 2 to get the concentration of A at 115s. Subtract the initial concentration and the concentration at time 115s (of A), to get the final concentration. Plug them into the formula above, and solve for k.

Oh and here is 15.3,

To calculate the unique rate of formation for the reaction with reactants aA and bB and cC and dD, where a,b,c, and d are coefficients, calculate one the following
-1/a * delta [A]/delta t. (both a and A can be switched to b and B or c and C respectively) the formula is on page 613 in the Textbook.

In part c, a would be 2, delta [A] would be (130) and delta t would be 20s. Plug into a calculator and solve.
