Is the value of K determined by experimental data using the initial rate/molar concentration?

Yes, you determine k by comparing the experimental data containing the initial molar concentration and rate. It is important to compare only one of the reactant's initial molar concentrations if you have more than one reactant. By comparing the two, you will be able to find the order of each reactant and input it into the rate law. Sub one of the trial reactions to find k.

You will use any one of the experiments to determine k. Assuming you have the correct rate law for the reaction, you simply plug in the rate, concentrations of the reactants, and solve for k.
