Reaction Constant k

Postby bonnie_schmitz_1F » Sun Mar 10, 2019 5:01 pm

What factors affect k? Does it change with temperature like equilibrium constants? Is k different for every reaction?

I believe temperature is the only thing that affects k. An increase in temperature increases k by increasing the odds of collision between reactant molecules.

k does change with temperature as it is temperature dependent like K and yes k is also different for different reactions.
