What do the order mean ? What are the significance of the orders ?

Order refers to what power of the concentration that the rate is proportional to. For example, for a second-order reaction, the rate is proportional to the second power of the concentration. It is significant to know this because if you know which type of reaction it is in terms of order, you know which equation to use.
