Zero Order reaction rate constant
If the reaction is 2A--> Products and is zero order, is the rate constant still K or 2K ?

Re: Zero Order reaction rate constant
Yes, I believe if you represent rate of the reaction using rate law, it should still be k no matter what stochiometric coefficient is in front of the reactant.

Re: Zero Order reaction rate constant
The rate constant should still be K as none of the stoichiometric coefficients and concentrations will affect the rate of reaction.
Re: Zero Order reaction rate constant
And what is the units for the rate constant of the zero order rxn?

The units for rate constant for a zero order reaction is mol L^-1 s^-1

Re: Zero Order reaction rate constant
The rate constant, regardless of the order of the reaction will not be dependent on the coefficients of the reaction.

Re: Zero Order reaction rate constant
The coefficients do not affect the rate constant, it will still be K.
Re: Zero Order reaction rate constant
if it is zero order then it is constant because anything to the 0 power is just 1
