Im confused, do we ever actually use the equations with dt?
ex: d[A]/-[A]^2 = k dt

That is just a way to represent change in rate at certain points in time. We likely won't need to use it since it involves calculus.

All the equations with dt represents differential rate laws, where it depicts rate versus concentration, but the integrated rate law is what shows rate versus time.

I think we won't have to use the equations with dt, and we were given them as a way to see how the final integrated rate laws were derived.

I was wondering about the same thing. I am pretty sure that it was mainly used for the derivation of the integrated rate laws.

I think the dt at the end of the equation is used for derivatives/calculus. I don't think it'll come up on the final.
