Le Chatelier's principle

Can someone please explain Le Chatelier's principle and in which types of questions we would use it?

Le Chatelier's principle says that if equilibrium is altered by changing the conditions of pressure or volume or temperature or concentration, the position of equilibrium shifts to counteract the change to re-establish an equilibrium. Generally, ur gonna see problems where it's like if u increase this amount of reactant how will the reaction shift or how is it affect the products? Or it could ask how increasing temp affects an endothermic or exothermic reaction and you just got know some of the rules.

Hi! This isn't super technical, but my favorite tool when discussing Le Chatelier's principle is the phrase "towards what you take, away from what you add". This works in nearly every situation, even applying to endothermic and exothermic reactions if you can visualize which side the heat is on. Hope this helps!
