what is a unique rate and how do you find it?

For example:

2A + 3B -> C

The unique rates are scaled by the stoichiometric coefficients so they are all equal.

-(1/2)d[A]/dt = -(1/3)d[A]/dt = +d[C]/dt

This way you don't always have to report a rate of reaction with respect to a particular component. You can simply report the unique rate.
