rate constants

What are the factors that affect the rate constant (k) of a second order reaction?

Hi!
Some factors that can have an effect are concentration of reactants, temperature, and the presence of catalysts. Some of these factors may increase the rate constant vs some might decrease the rate constant.

a lot of factors can affect it: temmperature, concentration of reactions, catalysts...

K is only affected by temperature change and can be increased by catalysts as they lower the activation energy.
