Hi all! What are some strategies for analyzing the kinetics of bimolecular reactions with multiple reactants? Thank you!

Rate Law Determination: Experimentally determine the rate law for the reaction by measuring the initial rates at different concentrations of each reactant. The rate law expression will show how the rate of the reaction depends on the concentrations of the reactants.

Identify the Rate-Determining Step: Identify the slowest (rate-determining) step. The molecularity of this step will determine the overall reaction order with respect to each reactant.

Rate Expression: Write the rate expression based on the rate law determined experimentally. For a bimolecular reaction involving reactants A and B, the rate expression may follow the general form Rate=k[A] ^m [B] ^n.
