When solving problems for wavelength should your final answer be in nanometers or meters?

You should convert your answer to what was originally given in the question. However, if the question is also asking you to identify a specific type of light, you should convert to nanometers so the wavelength is easy to identify.

When solving problems for wavelength, yes its important to understand what the question's units contain, it's important to understand the SI unit system. When using the speed of light formula, and Broglie formula the standard SI unit is m. Thus, you must convert your wavelength (if given in nm) to m. Note: 1 m = 1 nm^-9
