### E=hv vs E=hf

I've seen E=hf around and I just wanted to confirm they're the same, and if they're not can someone explain the difference?

Yes, they are the same formula. Sometimes frequency is written in terms of speed formula.

Both equations are the same, they both stand for frequency. That is the frequency of the photon that is coming in or being released.

I was also confused about this! I would argue that velocity and frequency are interchangeable especially because they have the same units.

It is the same formula. Just as wavelength is sometimes noted as lambda, frequency is noted as v.
