### Units for v(frequency)

Was doing the homework and noticed that for some of the problems they would use s^-1, while in others they would use Hz. Does it matter what units we use for frequency? or should they match with the rest of the calculations by using s^-1.

s^-1 and Hz can be uses interchangeably because they are the same thing. Usually, in problems it is given in Hz so I would recommend using Hz instead of s^-1.

Yes, Hz and s^(-1) can be used interchangeably. That is why in the formula c=λv for instance, that the unit of m for wavelength and Hz or s^-1 for frequency combine to create c, which is 3.00 x 10^8 m.s^-1

They can both be used, but I would check the what the problem is asking for and the units that are needed.

They can both be used (and are basically the same thing), but make sure that all units cancel when you reach the end of the problem.

Hz and s^-1 can be used interchangeably but I think s^-1 is best when used in equations and Hz is best to state your final answer.

Hertz (Hz) and s^-1 are the same thing.

1 Hz = 1 s^-1

Also, depending on what the question calls for, use the corresponding units.
So if the question asks for an answer in Hertz, obviously just use Hertz. But for equations, they use s^-1, implying that s^-1 is usually meant more for calculations.

Hertz and s^-1 can be used interchangeably. Hertz is the unit for frequency which can be written and thought of as cycles/second. Thus Hertz and 1/second are the same.

Hz and s^(-1) are used interchangeably but it may be easier to use s^(-1) during calculations just to ensure that all the units cancel out by the end. The final answer would most likely then be stated using Hz.

Hz and s^-1 are interchangeable because they are equivalent. I see Hz used more often than s^-1, but I doubt that you will be marked wrong for using one or the other.
