### Using einstiens Equation

I know that we can rearrange this equation to find a third component as long as we have the other two my question is how exactly do units cancel out if they are all different or are we allowed to apply it without taking them into account?

E is in the unit joules
h is Planck's constant in the unit Joules*Seconds
v is in the unit per second

If we take h*v, then the units are $(joules*s)\frac{1}{s}$
We can see the s or seconds cancel, leaving us with the unit joules that E is in
