Planck's constant equation

I know that eventually we have to memorize the various equations that we learned recently, but will it be required to remember what exactly 'h' (Planck's constant) equals in the Einstein equation, for example? The same goes for any other equation that has a constant not directly plugged into the equation.

First of all, I believe it is Planck's constant, and yes, I think it would be helpful to have it memorized. Same goes for the speed of light, as we use these values quite frequently in hw problems.

I think that planck's constant will be given on the equation sheet found here: https://lavelle.chem.ucla.edu/wp-content/supporting-files/Chem14A/constants_equations.pdf during tests. However, I think it would still be helpful to memorize it for the sake of convenience.

The constant will be given to you on the equation sheet, but I think in doing so many problems with the constant you will memorize it anyway. :)

The constant will be provided to you on the equation page, but I believe that by solving so many problems with it, you will memorize it.

Yes, the constant will be provided to you on the equation sheet and another reply I think had the link to the equation sheet. However Planck's constant is used so much that you probably end up memorizing it.

I believe there is a constants and equations sheet on Dr. Lavelle's website under the "Course Materials" subheading. However, after using Planck's constant in so many problems, I have come to memorize it without really trying to ! :)

I think Planck's constant (h) and the speed of light (c) might be helpful just to know! Also remembering the units, especially that Planck's constant is Js (joules-seconds) not J/s (joules per second) (Since I get those confused often, just adding it in here too).

I believe the the constants should be given on the equation sheet. It would be helpful to print it out ahead of time before the midterm, but memorizing the constants would be a good option as well.

We are allowed to use the equations sheet that Dr. Lavelle provided us on the midterm. All the constants and equations you need to know, including the one with Planck's constant and its value, will be on there. Although, memorizing them wouldn't hurt. Hope this helps!

I believe that having Plancks constant memorized will be super helpful. Especially since it is used in so many formulas, it will save a lot of test time if you memorize it.

I wouldn't say it's absolutely necessary to memorize it since we are allowed an equation sheet on the exams, but I do think it is convenient to have it memorize for the sake of not having to reference the sheet every time :)

It's always helpful to have constants memorized. I think constants will be included on the "Constants and Equations" sheet that we get during exams, but I also think you may have the major constants memorized by the end of the quarter just by using them so much.

I memorized Planck's constant, speed of light, and mass of elecrtron values so that I wouldn't waste time going back and forth between the equation sheet. The values will be given on the equation sheet but I think it will certainly help knowing the values of important constants and equations.

Memorizing several constants like the Planck's constant would probably save some time while we do related exercises. But no worries, Prof. Lavelle provides us with those constants on the sheets that are allowed to be taken into the examination!

You don't need to exactly memorize it for this class as the constant is provided in the Equations and Constant Sheet, but it can be really helpful to memorize as it saves time when doing calculations.

Yes, as others have said, I believe we will always be given a constant and equation sheet that is relevant to the exam we are taking. After working so many problems in class and when we study though, I'm sure we will end up memorizing a lot of them!

You don't have to memorise planck's constant, but I do believe you might inadvertently memorise it just from using it so much. It's everywhere. But if you don't feel like memorising it, it's in the constants and equations sheet!
