eV units
Will we have to memorize the conversion between Joules and eV since it is not on the equation sheets? A few of the homework problems have it.

Re: eV units
Since it was on a few of the homework problems, it would be good to be familiar with the conversion in case if it comes up. To convert from joules to ev, you multiply the value of joules by 6.242 x 10^18. Hope this helps!

Re: eV units
1J = 6.242 x 10^18
Even though it's not on the equation sheets, I feel like this is one we should memorize just for ease of functionality. I would recommend filing this one away since it's always better to be safe than sorry.

Hi,
Since it's not on the equations sheet, I think it would be best if you did memorize the conversion. 1 eV would be equal to 1.06 * 10^-19 Joules and 1 Joule would be equal to 0.625 x 10^19 eV. Hope this helps.

Hi!
1 eV is equal to 1.602176634×10−19 J. This conversion isn’t on the equation sheet, so I’m not quite sure if it’ll be useful for us on the midterm. It might be convenient to familiarize ourselves w/it anyway, so I'd play it safe and memorize it.

Re: eV units
I would memorize it since the midterm might have similar questions from the HW. The conversion is 1J = 6.242 x 10^18.
Re: eV units [ENDORSED]
Hey, the conversion is actually on the equation sheet. It is underneath the speed of light constant. Hope this helps!
