I was wondering what factors would change the value of k for a reaction?

I believe only temperature can change the rate constant

Although Dr. Lavelle hasn't gone over it in class yet, the Arrhenius equation
helps determine what factors change the K value. The K increases if the activation energy decreases or if the temperature increases.

k can be changed by altering the temperature or activation energy.

I agree with this! But now that he has gone over this we now know this is true.

Hi Cameron,
K can be altered by change in energy or activation energy.

I think change in temp and activation energy change the value of k for a reaction.

I believe K is only affected by change in energy (heat) and activation energy.

Hope this helps :))))))
