figure 15.27 interpretations

Hi, for 15.26,I don't understand why is there a peak following a sudden drop and for 15.27, I don't understand how Boltzmann distribution formula e^-Ea/RT explains this graph. Thanks!

For figure 15.26, the reason that there is a peak followed by a sudden drop is that at low temperatures, there are not many molecules that have a high enough kinetic energy to collide and react. Therefore, instead, there is a higher fraction of molecules towards the beginning of the plot of kinetic energy versus fraction of molecules. On the other hand, at high temperatures, there is a much greater number of molecules fraction-wise that collide with energy above the minimum energy needed (Ea), or in the figure, Emin.
