Molecularity
Does molecularity only depend on the reactants? If there are multiple products does that affect molecularity?

Re: Molecularity
Molecularity describes the number of molecules that come together to react in an elementary reaction (single step), which is why we look at the reactants when describing the molecularity of the forward reaction.
Hope this helps!

Re: Molecularity
No, molecularity only depends on the molecules which react so we are only looking at the reactants. When considering molecularity we are evaluating how many molecules are colliding which again would only be considering the reactants.

Re: Molecularity
As said above, molecularity is the number of reactant atoms/molecules/ions taking part in a specified elementary reaction. So yes, you would only look at the reactants to determine molecularity.

Re: Molecularity
Molecularity is only concerned with the reactants. It does not matter how much product is formed.

Re: Molecularity
Molecularity only has to do with the reactants of a reaction. It has to do with how many atoms are colliding with each other at the same time.
