Bimolecular Molecularity

Postby Drew Myers 4G » Sun Mar 08, 2020 9:57 pm

Can someone give an example of an elementary step that has bimoleuclar molecularity and give its rate law?

A bimolecular reaction is any reaction with two molecules involved. The two molecules can be the same or they can be different.

A bimolecular can have two different molecules interacting (A and B) or 2 of the same molecule interacting (A). The rate laws would be k[A][B] and k[A]^2 respectively.
