In the Arrhenius Equation where do you get the values for A, the frequency factors?

The frequency factor, A, corresponds to the correct orientation needed when the molecules collide for the reaction to occur.

What would the units and size of values for A be? Would this value be given to us? In most of the examples, they don't provide any values for A... so I was wondering if there were any examples where we would have to use this parameter and figure out what it was based on the rxn somehow..
