Frequency factor

I remember in lecture we were told A is usually 1. do we use this if not given a frequency factor

Yes, if told to use the Arrhenius equation assume A is one unless specificed otherwise.

Typically, the value of the frequency factor A is close to 1 for the problems we deal with.
