Are catalysts consumed in the reaction?

No, one significant thing about catalysts is they are not consumed in the reaction. Catalysts increase both the forward and the reverse reaction rate without being consumed. They are unlike an intermediate for this reason, as intermediates can be consumed by the reaction.

Nope! Catalysts will not be consumed in the reaction. Catalysts are for facilitating the reaction and provide an alt pathway w/ lower activation energy so it increases the rate of reaction without actually being consumed. When the reaction is complete, catalysts are recovered (uncharged) and can be reused in subsequent reactions later! I hope this helped.
