Ea and rate constant
When an enzyme lowers the Ea and causes the reaction to speed up, is it also lowering k or just lowering the activation energy. Or is activation energy calculated into k?

Re: Ea and rate constant
an enzyme only lowers the activation energy. since the activation energy is being lowered, the reaction happens faster therefore k (the rate) would increase
Re: Ea and rate constant
I've been a little confused on what k can be affected by because it is a constant. Is it affected by temperature, concentrations, and catalysts? Or are there more factors besides this?
