### 15.61 equation

In book problem 15.61 why does the solution manual use the equation
ln(k'/k) = (Ea/R) x ((T' - T) / (T'T))
ln(k'/k) = (Ea/R) x ((1/T) - (1-T')) ?
The solution manual says the two equations are equal but I am confused how the second one is derived / why it is used / why it produces a different answer than the first.

### Re: 15.61 equation

Those two equations are the same if you find a common factor of the denominator.

### Re: 15.61 equation

is the second equation necessary to use? would the first equation produce the same answer?

Yes, they produce the same answer. These two equations are the same thing, just in different formats.
