### relationship between Temperature and rate constants

based on the information in the course reader, the higher the temperature gets, the greater the rate constant is for the reaction, but then how come the answer to question 15.79 on page 661 says that at lower temperatures, the rate constant is larger?

From my understanding, the question shows that kinetic energy would be predominant at low temperatures since the activation required for the reaction to happen is so low that it won't take much kinetic energy for things to occur. I don't think this refers to the rate constant becoming larger in this scenario. This refers to a lower activation energy
