Collision Theory & Transition State Theory

Postby Athena Dong 2A » Sat Feb 25, 2017 4:30 pm

I recognize that collision and transition state theory were not covered extensively in class- but they were included in the readings noted on the kinetics outline from the Chem 14B site. From what I understand, some aspects of these theories are relevant to the Arrhenius equation.
For future reference, will these topics, and other information covered in the textbook but not in class, be included in our exams?

I believe since the reading was assigned, it is possible that we will get questioned on this but probably not completely in depth. As you mentioned, it will probably only be because its relation to the Arrhenius equation. I am pretty sure material assigned in readings but not completely covered in class are still fair game for tests because it was assigned.
