Activated complex

One of the homework questions for chapter 15 is draw a proposed structure for the activated complex. In general how do you figure this out? Thank you! :)

The graph is a plot of potential energy (y axis) vs taxon coordinate. Depending if the reaction is endothermic or exothermic, the graph will end at a higher or lower potential energy respectively. The activated complex is the range of energy from the reactant to the peak of the curve. This represents the energy required to overcome the complex to follow through with the reaction.
