### Arrhenius Equation

How does one calculate the frequency factor, A, in the Arrhenius equation?

### Re: Arrhenius Equation

I dont recall prof Lavelle explaining in class but I remember him saying in this class we will generally be using A=1.

### Re: Arrhenius Equation

A as the pre-exponential factor/measure of the rate at which molecules collide is one of the Arrhenius parameters (the other being activation energy), which means it can only be found through experiments. I'd assume that we would be given the value of A if needed to solve a problem involving the Arrhenius equation.

### Re: Arrhenius Equation

Hey Ben!
In lecture he said if it's not given to you to just assume that the value is 1
