### Solving for Arrhenius Equation

In solving for k in the Arrhenius equation k=Ae^-Ea/RT, my value always equals less than one when the answer key says it should be 6 x 10^8 for 6th edition 15.67? How does one solve this on the calculator?

Maybe try to separate your calculations into solving for -Ea/RT first, then plug that answer into e^(answer). After that try multiplying your value by A, and you should end up with the right rate constant. k (rate constant) is highly dependent on Ea, the activation energy.

I do not know exactly where you are going wrong, but I would make sure that you are using parentheses in the e expression: e^(-Ea/(RT)). I would also write out all of the units of what you are solving to make sure that they all cancel out to get you the desired units of k.
