Difference between activation energy and free energy of activation

Postby Samantha Chung 4I » Thu Mar 14, 2019 11:55 pm

I just wanted to double check, is "free energy of activation" referring to delta G difference between the products and reactants? Also, the difference is that in the presence of an enzyme, the delta G remains the same, whilst the enzyme provides an alternative pathway for the reaction (which has a lower activation energy)?

You are correct. Well done.
