### 7D.5

I keep getting a different answer from the answer key for 7D.5. The solutions manual subtracts 0.59 from the right side and I don't understand the reasoning behind this.

Im pretty sure the book meant an equal sign instead of a subtraction sign. If you carry out the right side of the equation and neglect the -0.59, you actually get 0.59 as the answer. You use the 0.59 for the rest of the problem.

Can someone explain the difference between K2/K1 and K'/K1? I thought the latter was equivalent to the equilibrium constant, is the former also? (are they just the same)
