### A- frequency factor

What are the units for A? Also is it a numerical value? All I really know is that it relates to the frequency and orientation of collisions

### Re: A- frequency factor

A's numerical value is unique for a reaction just like the rate constant k. It also has the same units as the rate constant.
A unique first-order reaction has a unique rate constant k and frequency factor A, both with units s-1 (because it is a first-order reaction).
k and A are related by the Arrhenius equation.

### Re: A- frequency factor

I am confused about A. Will we be given A? Because I am not really sure how to find it nor have I really encountered a problem that needed it.

### Re: A- frequency factor

Since A is a constant, similar to k, it will either be given or potentially solved for, which can be done by rearranging the Arrhenius Equation
