Catalyst Clarification

Just to double check super quickly for something from our final, although I'm not sure if this allowed just yet so I'll keep it pretty vague, but in terms of identifying a catalyst we are looking for a component that's consumed first and then consumed but also DOESN'T show up in the overall rxn?

Yes that is correct. A catalyst often begins towards the beginning steps so when you are doing your calculations you want to try to cross out as many molecules as you can.
