Setting up a Galvanic Cell
If you wanted to set up a galvanic cell how would you do that, and what would you be able to use it to study? I am just wondering about the practical applications of these kinds of cells and what we can learn from them.

You would be able to set up a galvanic cell. This link is a great video showing you how exactly to do this if you wanted to do it for research purposes. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8NCoTWfLzPU
Re: Setting up a Galvanic Cell
Practically speaking a galvanic cell is a rudimentary battery and follows the same basic tenants. There is a Voltage difference across both which allows it to be used to for power. It provides a simpler way of looking at that system, and shows how different aspects like changing the cell potential can affect the amount of voltage produced.

they serve as the basis of many batteries or corrosion studies, electroplating and many other things

Re: Setting up a Galvanic Cell
Galvanic cells are electrochemical systems where spontaneous redox reactions generate an electric current. By setting up two different metal electrodes in an electrolyte solution and connecting them with a wire, one can observe oxidation at the anode and reduction at the cathode, measuring voltage and current as indicators of the reaction's strength.
