Midterm 1: do we need to know the names of compounds

Hi everyone! Do we need to know the names of different ionic compounds for the midterm? because I saw some questions in the textbook only give the name of the compound instead of its chemical formula.

im pretty sure we will be given the formula for the compounds on the mid term

It saves a lot of time, which is precious on the midterm if you can quickly figure out certain compounds (like HCl, NaCl, and other common small compounds).

I think on the midterm we will be given the formulas of the compounds.
