Chem 14B Lab
I wasn't able to enroll in the lab for next quarter 14B, how much of a disadvantage is that when taking the chem 14 series and do people usually drop during the quarter? Thank you!

Re: Chem 14B Lab
Honestly, don't worry!! Plenty of my friends decided to take 14B stand-alone and then 14BL the next quarter with 14C for example. Furthermore, people will definitely drop during the first week so be on the lookout for swaps and enrollment!! I use coursicle on the app store to keep tabs and get notifications when a spot opens up in a discussion section, lab, lecture, etc. Overall, however, you don't need to really worry about not being able to take 14BL with 14B; take another lower division class or a GE!! (you're gonna have to do them regardless, so if you ever miss a course you want from enrollment ;_____; you can always fall back on other lower divs or course reqs from your DARS report!!)

I missed it to but a lot of people have assured me that it is fine and that depending on the person it is better to the lab after taking 14b
Re: Chem 14B Lab
I know 14B and 14BL don't need to be taken at the same time, but is there a time limit on how far after 14B you can take 14BL?

Re: Chem 14B Lab
14B and 14BL do not need to be taken together! From my understanding, 14BL applies the concepts you learn in 14B in a lab setting. I've spoken to a few upperclassmen who took 14B and 14BL separate quarters and they were able to keep up in 14BL just fine. Some even said that it's better to take 14BL after 14B, because you would have already been exposed to the concepts necessary to be successful in 14BL.
