Hi everyone! As I'm trying to plan out my classes for the next quarter, I am finding it difficult to decide between taking both Chem14B and Chem14BL. Do you think it is a good idea to take the simultaneously?
I have talked to my counselor as well and she advised me that if you want to take them simultaneously it could be difficult and time-consuming since labs are mostly about writing long lab reports. It's not recommended unless you feel very good at chemistry. However, it is your choice and completely doable if you are willing to put the time into it.
I suggest talking to your counselor as well, but I did have a friend who did take them simultaneously and said it was manageable for the most part. She said some topics overlap. However, overall I think it depends on you.
Personally I am holding off on taking Chem 14BL, but if you love chem and have a good understanding of it then its not a bad idea to take them together. It also depends on what your schedule looks like concerning other classes. Taking both may be an overload if you have heavy course loads in your other classes. My friend took both simultaneously and she did just fine so it's really up to you :)
