I know that the midterm is still about two and a half weeks away, but I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions as to what are good outside resources to utilize when studying for the test. I was also wondering if anyone had any study tips?

One thing that I find really helpful is going to step-up sessions, they usually have worksheets ready and they go into detail with all of the concepts.

I usually do all of the homework problems that I can so I can actually grasp the concepts. There are a lot of peer learning opportunities that he posts on the chem 14A website that can help a lot. I usually need a quiet place to study so that I can look over my notes and try to memorize the constants and equations.

I would recommend doing all of the problems assigned, even if some may seem repetitive. Even the smallest of differences in wording/calculation can make a big impact when taking the midterm. I would also suggest not only knowing the equations used by memory, but the derivations behind some of the more simpler equations.

Are sections that the professor doesn't pull questions from fair game for the midterm?

Hey guys, I have a typed study guide for the midterm and I'm willing to open it up to anyone willing to add more to it in preparation for Test 2 and the Final.
