I feel like everything we have learned so far will be on the midterm, but hopefully they mention what the midterm will consist of soon.

I think he will announce the midterm and review sessions details soon in lecture and/or posted on his website.

My TA said it was unlikely but Lavelle is the one making the test so I would ask just to be on the safe side.

My TA said that it might be incorporated into the problems but it won't be a separate problem. So a quantum problem might ask us to convert first before we can start solving using quantum methods.

Yes the midterm will have everything we have learned thus far: Fundamentals, Quantum, Chemical Bonds, and whatever we learn until the midterm :) From the beginning.

Lavelle has stated on his website that the midterm covers the material up to the end of focus 2D.

I think the fundamentals are the main high school review topics, so I'd say it's pretty important to be confident with that for the midterm. But the midterm most likely will include everything we've learned so far as well from the quantum and chemical bonds sections.

Dr. Lavelle said the midterm will include chemical bonding information all the way through Fridays lecture (expect for the last slide he showed).
