Midterm

Postby Lauren Haight 1E » Sun Oct 27, 2019 6:54 pm

Does anyone know the general format of the midterm? As in, how many questions there will be and how many questions there will be on each topic we have gone over? Thanks.

I'm not sure how many questions it will be or the exact information but I'm guessing it will be heavily based on "The Quantum World" unit with some review questions from the "Review of Chemical and Physical Principals" unit. I would also think it's reasonable to guess that the questions will be written and formatted similarly to test 1 just more questions. The best person to ask would definitely be your TA at this weeks discussion.

I believe it will cover the quantum chapter and perhaps the bonding chapter (correct me if I am wrong). Beyond that, I'm not too sure what format it will be, but I think it would be reasonable to assume that the difficulty of the qs would be alike to the difficulty of the qs from the first test!

There's going to be 8 questions on the midterm, and I'd assume each question contains its parts of a, b, c, etc.

There's going to be 8 questions (with parts i'm assuming) and it covers up to Outline 3 topic 2D. I think the best way to get an idea of knowing what the questions will be like is looking at your discussion section questions and also going to Lavelle's review session of past exam questions.

Thank you Lauren for asking this question, I was also wondering the same thing! I hope the 8 questions aren't each multiple parts
