How to relax

What do you guys like to do to relax when not doing work? I usually watch Netflix, play with my dog, or play video games.

Whenever I am feeling stressed out from class, I normally relax with a nice cup of coffee and a snack. No matter how stressed I was before, this always helps me chill out for at least a few minutes.

Deep breaths, listening to music, and going in a drive!! Alone time is important! Take time for yourself and get back to business when you feel good again!

I usually listen to music that's not too fast/hype or just watch shows that make me laugh. A nap is always good too so you can just reset or even taking a break to eat something.

Since quarantine started, I have found that going on walks and listening to music can be a nice way to clear your mind and still got some sort of exercise in without the physical strain. I also feel more relaxed after laying at the beach or a dip in the ocean.

I usually watch shows, talk to friends, play a game, or take a walk outside as a form of relaxing. Anything that I can immerse myself into that isn't school or work related helps me destress and get my energy back up.

I love revisiting my childhood by watching all of my past favorite television shows. Furthermore, I find this so interesting as I am able to see the show from a different perspective than I did as a 6th grader in middle school. This allows me to understand parts of the show that I never was able to understand before (due to my young unintelligence lol).

I either find a new show to watch or just get lost on tiktok--the time literally passes by so quickly while I'm on tiktok. All of said activities also include eating, so I'll usually try and cook too while I'm on my phone.

oh my gosh thank you for putting up this question! It's so important to remember to relax and enjoy the journey however corny it sounds:) To relax I love going outside and backpacking. Even its just for a single overnighter trip, it lets me forget about all my stress and honestly just reminds me that its not worth it to feel so stressed that we aren't happy. And honestly food helps with stress too lol!

After many hours of sitting in front of a screen, I try and get some physical activity and take my eyes off of any sort of electronics which is what I find relaxing. Whether it's working out, going for a run, or just socializing with family, the last thing I do is check my phone or engage in any more screentime than necessary.

I think it's really important to spend time away from the screen and to rest your eyes, especially now with all these online classes. I usually like to take a nap and play with my dog. I also think stretching is very necessary because it helps ease the tension in your muscles and prevent you from having bad posture from hunching over the computer all day :)

I love to read a new book or an old favorite that takes my mind off of school or anything stressful! Getting exercise also helps me relax.

In order to destress and relax, I usually go exercise or play video games because it distracts me.

It was great to read everyone's comments! Now I guess I have more things to do. I usually just go on short hikes or at least take a break and watch the sunset to relax:)

I like to listen to music and facetime my friends to catch up! It's really hard to socially interact with the pandemic going on and face timing and playing games online with your friends really helps!

I often replay the first two minutes of every chemistry lecture just to listen to the soothing music chosen by professor Lavelle.

Usually I just watch tv or workout, (which isn't very relaxing sometimes), but I've been trying to do yoga recently and it's pretty fun!

I have a puppy, so I would say it's fairly relaxing to have a pet and play with him/her. I always walk my dog when I feel stressful.

I love doing this too. It's really eye-opening how many shows have hidden messages or more "adult" jokes when you rewatch them. Spongebob is one of the shows that I always revisit, especially the Krusty Krab on strike episode.

Definitely great to go back and realize all of the hidden easter eggs or adult jokes that might have slipped past you as a kid!

What I have been doing to relax and make sure I am on track is writing everything I have to do so that I do not feel behind. For relaxing, I like to take little naps when I can
