Midterm 2
Hi for midterm 1 I know that for the quantum world we were not tested on the last 8 bullet points of the outline. Does that mean that we will be tested on those last 8 bullet points for midterm 2?

I think so, along with the new material that we're learning now! He will probably post another outline of covered topics for midterm 2.

Re: Midterm 2
I'm pretty sure we will just be tested on anything after the section we covered on midterm 1, so it should include the last bullet points and what we are learning now. He will probably give us more information later.

I believe so! I might be wrong but I think Midterm 2 should cover the last of outline 2 and some of outline 3.

Re: Midterm 2
Really? I thought that the midterms would be cumulative and have questions from midterm 1.

Re: Midterm 2
During Lavelle's office hours, he said that Midterm 2 will cover the remaining 8 bullet points from Quantum World Outline and most likely all of Chemical Bonds Outline.
There won't be content from Midterm 1 on the second Midterm. The final, however, is going to be cumulative

Re: Midterm 2
I heard that Prof Lavelle expects the midterm to cover from quantum number (so the last 8 bullet points) to the end of Outline 3.

I believe the last eight bulletin points will be tested on the second midterm. The second midterm is supposed be on week 7. Hope this helps!

Midterm 2 will not be cumulative and will cover the rest of outline 2 and probably some or all of outline 3. It should be during week 3. Hope this helps!

Not sure about Dr. Lavelle, but I know that the UA who has a workshop on Saturday is having a review session.
Re: Midterm 2
Does anyone know if Midterm 2 is going to include subjects that were tested on Midterm 1? Or is it just new, untested material?

I think it's just untested material . It's going to cover material from the MT1 cutoff (last 8 points of outline 2) and onwards.

Yes! Prof Lavelle made an announcement on his website that states that the last eight bullet points and all of Outline 3 will be tested.

does this mean that Midterm2 doesn't cover all of outline 3?

Does anyone know if we'll be drawing Lewis structures for the midterm and if so how that's going to work?
