Logistics for the Midterm

Hi I was wondering if the midterm will be held similarly to how exams were held in Chem 14A. In the syllabus it says we are taking them during our lecture times, so will there be zoom proctoring by our TA's still? I'm sorry if this has been addressed already! Thank you!

I think the proctoring will be done as it was done for the final. However, I think the format will be the same as our previous quarter midterms. Happy Studying!

Yes, our midterms will be taken during lecture time. Our first midterm will be held on January 29th in class and TAs will be proctoring the exam (as far as I know). I hope this helps!

Hi, in the syllabus it says "exams are proctored and closed book" so I'm pretty sure it will be the same as in 14a.

From the computer, there will be a lockdown browser for taking the exam itself. Proctoring will be done by having your phone as an external camera for the TA to monitor your surroundings so that it’s verified there’s nothing around your desk that can be helpful for cheating during the exam. You join a Zoom link through your phone, and prop your phone up so that it captures your surrounds! Hope this was helpful, and ask if it’s unclear :)

The first midterm is during our class on Friday so I think that it will be proctored like our final in Chem 14A.

My TA said that the test is during lecture on friday, and yes the TA's and possibly Lavelle will be on the call to proctor.

I believe it should be the same but the exam time is during lecture time instead of discussion time.
