Hey everybody! Idk if anybody else is in the same boat but even though I'm a STEM major I still love to write poetry. So like not to plug myself or anything buuuuuuuut we should start a thread if there are any other authors (or painters or musicians or anything else!) in the house, plus maybe Lavelle will feature us in a lecture :3 (also for anyone who's interested, my poetry IG is @unapollogetic.poetry)

If you're into music already, I'd recommend reading lyrics (especially of rappers like Biggie, Tupac, etc). Some artists are very lyrically gifted and their music is like poetry in motion, so slowing it down and reading what they write is kinda how I started :)

I love this post so much!! I write poetry that’s very personal to me but I think it’s super cool that there’s a poetry post in a chemistry forum especially with how science and humanities are separated a lot of the time.
