Do we need to know english names of strong acids and bases?

Hi! Do we need to be able to know the english names of strong acids and bases, or just the formula? Should I be able to recognize nitrous acid and know that it is HNO2? Thanks

Even though this wouldn't be the main purpose of the exam, but it is definitely better to know their names/

Yeah, I think you just need to know that all the group 1 and group 2 H-B are strong bases (except Be and Mg) and that Any H-A under HF + any H-polyatomic ions that end with an -ate (exept carbonate and phosphate) are strong acids.
