I notice that when I buy the course reader there is no longer a quiz practice book along with the course reader... Does that mean that there will no longer be practices for the three quizzes or any "three mock quizzes replacing the lowest quiz score" deal?

There are practice quizzes in the course reader. I don't think they replace the lowest quiz score anymore.

We also didn't get a booklet of practice midterms and finals. Does that mean that the only practice tests are the ones at the end of the course reader?

The booklet of practice midterms and finals was offered for an additional charge at the store, however the end of the course reader also has some practice exams.
