Hi I'm not sure if this is where I should be asking this question or if this counts for one of our three posts but anyways I have some questions regarding the first exam this coming week.

1.) Will we have access to a periodic table or should we bring our own?
2.) For balancing equation problems, will we always be given the molecular formula of the compounds?
3.) Can I use a graphing calculator?

1. As I announced in class periodic table will be provided, as will a sheet with constants and equations.

2. For Test 1 yes. We still need to do more structures, acids, bases, salts, etc.

3. As stated in the Syllabus, graphing calculators (and any devices that can store text and equations) are not allowed.

Correct. Simple scientific calculators.
Anything over $10 is too sophisticated.

Hi, I also have a question about test#1. Will we be expected to know things that weren't covered in class, but are listed in Outline 1? This includes problems from sections G, L and M. For example: reaction stoichiometry, mass to mass calculations, volumetric analysis.
